Being at San Jose State University I felt a tribute to David Saurman and the barstool economists was in order. David Saurman started barstool economists at San Jose State. Barstool economics are the interesting economic ideas that we discuss at a barstool with a beer in our hands. All principles of economics students at San Jose State University can now join a Yahoo discussion group called the barstool economists to address interesting economics questions.
Last night while sitting at a local bar I could not help observe some barstool economics. A guy was talking with his friends making the case for free immigration. He remarked we want free trade, and free trade allows goods and services, capital, and money to move freely across the boarders so why not labor?
Some times a simple answer while having a beer with friends is the best solution.
