In Investors Business Daily today the following editorial appeared http://www.investors.com/NewsAndAnalysis/Article/569811/201104201922/Teachers-Pet.htm. Ths article describes how the California Federation of Teachers passed a resolution praising cop killer Abu-Jamal. Abu-Jamal killed police office Daniel Faulkner in Philadelphia in 1981. It is not clear to me what this cop killer has to do with teaching children in California. Anyhow, the editorial shows how union leaders (not necessarily the teachers who pay their salaries) often are out of line with reality.
