Spain Retail Sales April 2008

The general retail trade index in constant price terms was down by 0.3% year on year in April. However correcting for the calendar (working day) effect, the Index at constant prices decreased by 3.4%. The calendar effect for April was determined both by the difference in number of working days such as as a result of Easter, which last year was held in April, whereas this year it was held in March.
